Hi I'm Doug

I am student. I study exercise science. I am a Husband. I love helping folks. I am a US Navy veteran. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a "health nut," and I love it. I enjoy spending time with my family, and doing anything that is outdoors. I am a full-time student at Missouri State University, Studying Exercise Science and Physical Therapy. I love to learn, grow, and achieve goals I set for myself. I have been married to my wife since March 2009, and we were sealed together forever in December 2013!

Why I am a Mormon

I just love the plan of salvation. It seems such a beautiful thing to me. I love my family and my Heavenly Father, so why not work towards spending all of eternity with them all? Before I converted, I had trouble with the idea of faith. I still don't understand everything, but I enjoy learning more all the time.

How I live my faith

I do my best to follow what God has for me. I am full of love, optimism, and care. I enjoy the fellowship at church, and I try to strengthen others as they strengthen me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Doug
It would be easy to say that the answer is to pray and ask God if what you are learning is true, which is right, but I'd like to go into what I've experienced. Before I became a Mormon, I was having trouble with the idea of faith. I continued on with lessons, sincerely, and offered sincere prayers asking if what I was learning was true. One day, I was reading the Book of Mormon, and I just somehow knew that it and the church was true. I was moved by the Holy Ghost. The answer may come to you differently than it came to me, but for me, one thing is sure I believe that if you ask sincerely if Mormonism is true, the answer will be yes! Show more Show less
