Hi I'm Sam

I love rock-climbing and snowboarding. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to rock-climb, snowboard, mountain bike, play basketball, and slackline. I run barefoot and would like to run a marathon someday. Some of my all-time favorite heroes are George Washington, John Stockton, and Dean Potter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and after studying and praying for myself I have come to know of the truth of the Book of Mormon and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Book of Mormon is what holds together my testimony. The Book of Mormon has guided me and comforted me in my life too many times for me to ignore. I know that it is true, and that is the evidence that I rely on to know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I am a full-time missionary serving in the Omaha, Nebraska Mission for 2 years. Before I was a missionary, I taught 8 and 11 year-olds in Sunday school. Another way I have been taught to live my faith is through serving others. Since I was little, I always remember my dad teaching me and inviting me to do service. Over time, I've been able to see how much service helps us follow the example set by Jesus Christ. Service also breaks down barriers, make friends, and strengthens relationships.
