Hi I'm Adam Michael

I love Christ. I'm a NASCAR freak, a sports fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son of two wonderful parents, I also am from a big family with 6 kids, I am the 4 in line. I love being part of a big family. It was fun to grow up in a big family because you always had someone to do something with, help you, fight with, support me. I was born and spent my early childhood in Illinois, then moved up to Wisconsin. I love being in the mid-west because of the different types of extreme weather. I love camping and swimming when the weather is nice. I spent about 2 years working at Culver's which is the best burger/ frozen custard joint on earth. I love a good burger with extra cheese. I love to watching and playing sports of different kinds, except for all forms of tennis, but my true love is NASCAR. I love going fast, watching wreaks, good racing and the excitement that comes from it. My favorite driver is Tony Stewart.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was blessed to be born into The Church of Jesus Christ, but the reason that I'm still a member of the Church is because of a couple reason. The first and foremost reason is because I receive an answer that the Book of Mormon was the word of God. For those who would try to demean that answer from that God that gave me life, the way that I know it was from my Heavenly Father, is because that same spirit that told me that Jesus Christ is my Savior and felt my sins, testified to my spirit of the reality and truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I have also been blessed to be able to go to a lot of the early landmark of the church such as: Nauvoo, Illinois; Kirtland, Ohio; Liberty, Missouri; Palmyra; New York; Salt Lake City, Utah; and other places where the early church members suffered much persecution for there unique testimony about there Savior, Jesus Christ. Why I continue to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ is because although I know that my Redeemer and Savior is Jesus Christ, I have come to know and still learning this simple fact much deeper through reading, going to church to take the sacrament, pray, and other things that bring me closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to come nearer to my Savior, Jesus Christ every day, and to become a better person. I strive to constantly lend my hand to those around me. I strive to “feast on the words of Christ” that are contained in The Bible and The Book of Mormon and other scriptures on a daily basis; to enhance my knowledge and understanding about Jesus Christ, followed by applying it to my life. Right now I am living my faith through serving a two year mission for the LDS church; there has been no experience like it. We are able to set aside the distractions of the world and give our heart to Christ and do as what Christ commanded us to do; that is to warn our neighbors, so that is what we do, we go out and talk with everyone. We tell of the change that has taken place in our hearts and share it with everyone. We do this to follow Jesus Christ. I am very thankful for the opportunity to share what I have identified to be truth, given me from my loving Heavenly Father. The best thing is that anyone regardless race, backgroud, and sex can come to know what I know.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Adam Michael
This is a great question to ask, with NASCAR being a part of me life is kind of like a NASCAR season. Stay with me, it might be a little rocky. A NASCAR season is long it is filled with a lot of up and downs. As with life, hopefully it is long and full of learning, and finding new ways to make you and your team better. At the beginning of a NASCAR season is the biggest event of the year, everyone prepare for this one race. It is the Daytona 500, and this is like our birth, we existed before this life, we were learning and growing. There was a lot of preparation that went into us coming to earth, the teams had to prepare and create your car just like our loving Heavenly Father created our bodies, all in preparation for the Daytona 500 your birth Our Heavenly Father loves us and knows that this life would be hard so that is why God has given us prophets, prophets are like spotters. They are people just like us who have a better view and can tell us which line or path to choose, they are there to help us to finish the race safly. As in life we have the ability to either follow or reject for ourselves what the prophet spotter tells us. The ultimate goal of a NASCAR season is to be with your team in "Victory Lane", as with life we believe that the ultimate goal of this life is to be with your family for time and all eternity, that is why we build temples raceshops where it happens. I have found the most happiness when I am with my family and Jesus Christ my Savior!! Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Adam Michael
I love learning about the restored gospel. My testimony on the restored gospel is simple, besides my spiritual witness from the Holy Spirit that it is true It Just makes sense. All throughout time our Heavenly Father has called prophets for our benefit, but over time when God has given us the prophets men reject and kill the prophets. Then God would stop calling prophets for a time, God would then wait for a time till the people were humbled again, and we wouldn't kill the prophets. God loves us and had always called another prophet to the earth. Once the people were ready to receive the fullness of his gospel God called the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore what Christ had set up. Joseph Smith under the direction of Jesus Christ set up the same organization that existed while Christ was upon the earth. Show more Show less
