Hi I'm Michelle Monson

I am serving a full-time mission, I enjoy eating breakfast for dinner, and I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

While being on my mission in Portland Oregon, I have a new acquired taste to the hippie style. I could tye-dye white over-sized t-shirts all day long and I think when I get home, I might never shave again. I also have a new love for the nature scene but there isn't too much love there, as I've met people who think that the trees can speak to them...that's a little bit much for me. I enjoy playing the ivories and it is a fact that I can play those ivories while I balance a spoon on my nose. I like the occasional sour patch kids for a snack and I always bite their heads off first...this probably explains why I have so many cavities. I am a student at BYU majoring in Advertising. I have 2 rods in my back from a scoliosis surgery I had when I was 14 years old. I hope to get those 14 inch rods removed one day so I can use them as an object lesson with my future kids one day and teach them to not hold on to the iron rod, but to hold on to the titanium rod because titanium is stronger. Chocolate is my best friend and I have a huge crush on NBA Lebron James. My favorite holiday is Halloween because I can dress up as a zombie ballerina or a ghost. My favorite movie is Tangled. I like doing a lot of things like dancing, singing, doing crafts, playing Mario Kart on the Wii, running, hiking, blowing bubbles, etc. However, I am not particularly good at any one thing that I mentioned above, but I like to think that I am mediocre at them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because by following in Jesus Christ's footsteps, I get the strength I need every day to stay positive about all the little negatives in life. The closer I get to Christ, the more God replaces my burdens with peace, joy, and happiness. I've been through the trials just like everyone else and by learning, mostly the hard way, I have realized that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can help us progress in life and to overcome any obstacle that we face.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting my heart into studying the scriptures. I also am living my faith right now by serving a mission in Portland, Oregon where I hope to tell all I can about this gospel and how to really turn towards God. I want to baptize the sin out this city! Go big or go home! Beast It!
