Hi I'm Katie Naea.. known as Kate...

A simple island and family girl. True blood Samoan, not a saiga. Enjoys volleyball and walking on sandy beach. And a proud Mormon.

About Me

I am a very outgoing and a bit shy sometimes. I enjoy being outdoors and making use of my time wisely in doing something rather than sitting around. I want to be just like what my Heavenly Father expects me to be and that is to be his instrument for the rest of my life. I love reading, writing poetry, singing, making up lyrics and learn to have fun at the same time. I can be really goofy and be in the level of hyperactive sometimes rather it'll be my jokes or being my happy self. I am very energetic when I playing volleyball or basketball in which all polynesian enjoys. I enjoy being with my friends and my families most of my quality time. I am young, independent Samoan teine. I love my life and the way I live up to be rather as a Samoan with the brown skin or a Mormon knowing about Joseph Smith and loving the BOM. Education is a very important role in my family tradition and in growing in the gospel. My parents really place my life in a better environment and through their efforts of helping me in education made me love learning and try to succeed even if it is hard. I am attending a church institution which is Brigham Young University in Hawaii. I am mostly be happy and ready to share these blessings with my future family. I am most likely a daughter from the island to two loving parents, learning to be an achiever, I'm not perfect but trying to be like the Savior, recently and happily engaged to a humble and worthy young man and loves the Savior. I'm a PROUD MORMON!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a mormon all my life. I somehow had a hard time in my childhood and eginning of my youth life. I didnt really know how important the gospel in my life esspecially when there wasn't a strong priesthood in my home. A priesthood is power and authority of God given to authorize man in order to perform his work here on Earth. Although my father wasn't strong but he really did push me to attend church. My mother play a great role in helping me see the importance of the gospel. She is a convert and the example she set for me turns my world to cling onto that greater truth that the gospel has for me at a rough age. My 2nd eldest sister prays for me and had faith in me. It helped me realized that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me. The impact that these people place in my life motivates me to live closer to my Heavenly Father by living his teachings. I started attending seminary which is an early morning education that we learn about the Savior from the scriptures. I started to understand that I am very important in our Heavenly Father's eyes. He provided me with the hardships in life to know where that guiding path that I should take in order to have true happiness. His gospel which was restored by a prophet Joseph Smith is for everyone. It contains the true doctrine of Christ, all the teachings of Christ from the beginning has been restored for us his children to know where we came from and where we are heading to after this life or death. I am grateful for the teaching of his restored gospel that I am able to set my standards in his will and ways. So, as a mormon we teach of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ and the prophets that were called prophecy of Christ. Everything that I had learn center around Jesus Christ and that is why I am a representative of Christ and a Mormon. So "WHY" I am a Mormon, because I know that the Savior lives and that I can be with my love ones for ETERNITY without a doubt!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the Lord in testifying his true gospel and doctrine to anyone who are in search and those who are and were mislead by others with the true teaching of the gospel. No one should have a perfect knowledge of everything in order to serve him. He chooses you as you willingly accept him. I was called to be his son Jesus Christ's representative or a missionary devoting 18 months of my life to help bring all my brothers and sisters to know of his true gospel. I served my Heavenly Father in the Anaheim California Mission and after that mission, I am serving him in his temple. And from this service to the Lord, it has bless my family to have a strong priesthood which is my dad. My service in his gospel was teaching young children about Jesus Christ. I get to pray for inspiration from certain lessons given to help me to teach young children like ages 3 to 11 to learn of Christ and his gospel and helping them understand him according to their age of learning. I love being around them because our Savior himself taught us to be like unto little children, in order to inherit his kingdom for they are very christlike and are strong believers of Christ. I live my faith through examples and appreciation of his love for me throughout my life.
