Hi I'm Jeffrey R. Marshall

I am a nerd by birth, I am a professional card player, I am a happy go with the flow kind of guy, I am Marshall and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son, I love hang with my buddies and just chilling out, I played a children's card game proffessionally before I left to serve a volunteer mission for my church in the good ol' North Carolina Charlotte Mission, I love reading comics, I love staying up late to get to that next level in any video game and, watching movies is my all time favorite past time. I also love to cook every once in awhile it just depends on who I am trying to impress. I am a brother to some one with special needs and he reminds me every day why I should be loving and caring to my fellow man. My mother was born and raised in Brasil and she is a saint who loves to wrestle her son (me) to the ground just to prove that she can. My Father is a software engineer for a computer marketing company and a hobbiest baker, and We are MARSHALL!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only religion that makes sense. I have studied extensively on why this church is true, I never believed my own testimony until I prayed about what I knew I asked God if this church was not true and he testified to me that this church is true with out a shadow of a doubt. For the longest time I just went off of what my parents said but not until I was a senior in high school did I really have that desire to know if what I was raised in was in fact true. Then again that desire struck me while I was starting my mission. Everytime I ask my Heavenly Father if this church is true or if the Book of Mormon is true I always get the same answer and that answer is "Yes it is true"

How I live my faith

Ever since being home from my mission I have tried to keep that same missionary spirit alive. I do my best every day to try and reflect to other my love of Christ. Also I help out the missionaries as often as ocassion allows. I am Sunday School teacher to the best age group. Institue is a major part of my live if I'm not working or at home you can bet that is where I am at.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jeffrey R. Marshall
The same way I did ask God with a sincere heart if the Book of Mormon is "not" true or if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is "not" true remember "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God" James1:5 Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jeffrey R. Marshall
Well that is easy we just need to talk to him like we would talk to our own parents. To many of us just treat prayer like we are going grocery shopping, simply going through a list and asking for things. We need to look at prayer as a two way communication between ourself and our Father and by leaving those lines of communication open our father can answer us. It may not be a quick reply or even what we want to hear at that time but our father will answer us. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jeffrey R. Marshall
The Missionaries will talk to you about Gods love for all of his children, answers to the questions of the soul like what is the purpose of life?, the atonement of Jesus Christ, etc. The Missionaries when they visit you will only take about fifteen minutes of your time and if they stay longer or if they come back it will only be because you invite them to do so. Missionaries will never push their message upon anyone, but they will invite you to exercise faith. Show more Show less
