Hi I'm Cameron

I'm a husband and dad; a real estate lawyer and landlord. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 10 years and we have three sons and a beautiful daughter. We are one of those busy families, like so many others, that runs between school, work, sports, scouts, and church activities, trying to squeeze the most out of each day, week, and month. Our best days are those spent together, whether it is helping with homework, watching or coaching soccer and baseball, gardening, or just taking a walk. Nothing brings me more joy than coming home from a busy day at work to hear my children shout "daddy's home!" when I walk in the door. I am a family man and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that each one of us is a child of God. Our Heavenly Father knows and loves us, and has provided a plan for us to return to live with Him. Jesus Christ is the central figure in this plan and makes it possible for us to repent and return to live with God again by following His teachings. I have felt God's love and influence many times in my life, and I know that He watches over me and my family. While that doesn't mean that we are always free of life's difficulties, I know that He is willing to help us when we need it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying everyday to set an example for my children, especially for my three sons. While I'm not perfect, I really try to take my responsibilities as a father seriously. To me, this means having the integrity to do what's right whether they are watching or not. I will expect the same from them as they grow older and enter their teenage years. I live my faith by keeping my marriage covenants and honoring my wife. Because we've been married in God's Temple, we can have an eternal marriage that will last long after this life. I am currently working with the youth in our ward (congregation) and I serve as the Scoutmaster in our local Boy Scout troop. Today's youth are amazing, and I truly enjoy the opportunity to interact with them.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I absolutely do believe that prophets exist today, and I think this is one of greatest blessings we have from our Heavenly Father. God's "modern-day" prophets provide us with timely, relevant counsel on how we can best pursuit a life of true happiness and and lasting joy. The prophets warn us of harmful trends and activites that should be avoided, and encourage everyone to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
