Hi I'm Nate

I was born in Guam and grew up in Las Vegas. I love music, volleyball, 4-wheeling, and swimming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Nate. I love music and volleyball. I like bing outdoors and in the water. I have friends who are LDS and some that aren't. I act the same around everyone and keep my standards. Depending on the situation around me I could be calm as a summer breeze or as energetic as a squirrel.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it has helped me in my life. Yes, I was born into the church, but that doesn't mean that I automaticlly know this church is true. My parents taught me to find out if this is christ true church. I followed my parents advice the only way I knew how. I read a little of the book of mormon. I went to church and lived the principles taught. It all felt right, but I didn't know if the church was true. I wanted a definite answer. Not to long later did I realize is that I already had my answer. It wasn't a powerful notion or an angel appearing. I had no sign. It was a quiet whisper in my heart that said you already know its true. After that I had a warm feeling in my heart. I know it was god testifying that it was true. That's why I'm a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the best I can. I live the principles taught and though if I slip up. I change and work harder not to do that again. We aren't perfect, but as long as we are doing the best we can we'll do just fine.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

When I talk with people that say this there are a few reasons why they do. One is because they don't know what the word means or don't know what we believe. Another is because people don't like us. They use it to demean us. A common one that I have heard is that is just how their parents taught them about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Authority to baptize is a big deal. It is the way we enter in to God's Kingdom. If we get baptized by someone that doesn't have authority then its just like taking a bath in a tub. There isn't a point. The person must have permission from God to do this. Just like it says in the scriptures in Hebrews 5:4 "no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God as was Aaron." No person goes to a school and comes out with a degree saying I can baptize you. He has to be called by revelation. You can tell them apart from everyone else. By their Fruits ye shall know them. Remember that we have to act in order to know. If you don't act God won't give you an answer. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Show me proof that Jesus Chirst didn't come to the America's. I will testify of the truth that I recieved from god that Christ is the saviour of All the Earth. He came to the America's. God's people are a record keeping people. They kept a record of all their dealings with God just like the Jews did in the Bible. You can read the Book of Mormon and Pray and ask God if his son truly came here. I know that He will answer you like he did me. Show more Show less
