Hi I'm Jen

I am a wife, a mother of four, a math tutor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love mathematics! I have enjoyed math from the time I was young, and decided that I wanted to become a math teacher. I wanted to help students so that they wouldn't be scared of math and that they could see some of the excitement that I see in it. While in college I met and married a wonderful young man and we have four children. I love spending time with my family, especially when we go on adventures like hiking, swimming or visiting new places. I love music because good music lifts my spirits and brings peace to our home. And I even have some time each week to tutor math to students in my area who are struggling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by Latter-day Saint parents.I was taught to pray and study the scriptures. I learned the importance of love and family. As I continued these habits as a teenager I realized more and more each day that Jesus Christ loved me. He strengthened me when times were most challenging. When my grandpa died i was reassured by the Holy Ghost that I would be able to see him again. As I left home to attend college and as i married and settled in a home of my own I continued to live the principles I had learned as a child. I am grateful for the blessings of the temple that made it possible for me to marry my sweetheart for time and eternity. We work together to teach our children the importance of learning about Jesus Christ and doing what he would do. As I learn more about Jesus Christ and as I try my best to follow His example I feel peace and I feel joy.

How I live my faith

I love interacting with people. I love to hear about their experiences, and to share some of my own. In church I have had the chance to teach young children. I love their innocence and excitement for life. I have had the chance to teach teen-aged young women. They are talented, hard-working, and generous. I have had the chance to be a scout leader. The young men who work hard at scouting are learning skills that will help them throughout their lives. All of the children and youth I have taught and worked with have the ability and potential to to great things. I hope that I can reflect Jesus Christ through my interactions with others. I do my best to help those around me who need help. I pray for my friends and neighbors. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me joy, and I hope that this shows through my attitude and actions.
