Hi I'm Jocelyn

I love Pandas! I love anything Asian! I love playing the guitar and piano! And I LOVE being a Mormon! ^o^

About Me

Hello World!!!! ^.^ As you saw, my name is Jocelyn. I also go by Josie for short. Currently at this time, I am serving a mission in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. And guess what? I am LOVING it! I enjoy reading books of all caliburs, mostly manga/manhwa. My passion/obsession is watching asian dramas. Music is my life, and I can't go a day without listening to it. I've played the piano since I was a kid, and I've been teaching myself how to play the accoustic guitar for the past four years. I also love to sing. Not always in front of others, but I'll always have a song on my mind. If I'm upset, music is the way to go for me to calm down. I can't stay angry for long when I hear a song. I also love to hang out with my friends. Airsofting, rock climbing, bowling, movies, mini-golfing, ultimate frisbee, other stuff, and just plain old hanging out and chatting. When I get home, I would like to major in English Literature, and probably minor in Library Science. I enjoy using my imagination to create whole new worlds, so I am definitely hoping to become a professional writer someday. I am also the eldest of 6 kids in my family. I have a twin brother and 4 younger sisters. They are my pride and joy, and I wouldn't trade them for anything else in the world. Well, I hope that this has helped you to get to know me better. I hope that you are having a great day! I love you!!!! XD

Why I am a Mormon

Like many LDS members, I grew up in the church with active parents who taught me the gospel of Christ. But as I grew older, I knew that I could not rely on the faith of my parents to get me through life. I had to find out on my own. So, I did what was most logical in my eyes. I prayed. Not just to anyone, but to my loving Heavenly Father. Who better to ask, than the one who loves us the most, and wants what's best for us? As I had been taught, I knelt in prayer and sincerely asked if the things I had been taught growing up were true. If the Book of Mormon was truly more records of those who lived on the ancient Americas. I was filled with the most peaceful, comforting feeling that one could have. I knew that Heavenly Father was there, and that he was listening to me. Being the perfect Father, of course he would answer me. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on Earth today, with the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that may seem bold to say, but if you did the same thing I did, and know the same things I know, you would be bold too. So give it a try, and you will be surprised and delighted with the things you learn.

How I live my faith

At the present moment, I have one of the coolest callings ever! I get to be a missionary! I am out teaching what I know to be true, and giving everyone the oppurtunity to hear about the fulness of the Gospel. I know that I may not know everything, and that I may not be able to answer everyone's questions. But I do know that I was called by the prophet, to go out and teach what I know for sure. Being a missionary not only has given me the chance to build the faith of others on Jesus Christ and His teachings, but also of myself. Each and every day, I can feel myself coming closer to Heavenly Father, and that He is proud of me. Each Sunday, I love going to church, and partaking of the sacrament. It gives me time to be able to feel the Holy Spirit, and to remember Jesus Christ, and the things he did for me. Especially the Atonement. I also love being able to pray. Such a gift of being able to continue to speak to my Father in Heaven while here on Earth is a major treasure to me. I know that I would be lost without it. I know that He loves hearing from me, and wants to continue to hear from me until I return to Him. Isn't that great?
