Hi I'm Jeremy

I am a Kiwi, and a Queenslander, I love Rugby, I have a great life, a wonderful family, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband. I have been blessed with the most energetic and inspiring companion. She is a beautiful person inside and out. I am a father of two beautiful daughters who make my life full. We love spending time together as a family. I enjoy sports, art and design, music, video games and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have lived my life I have come to realise that things don't happen by chance. There is a plan and a purpose, even to suffering and hardship. I am a Mormon because my Father in Heaven has assured me to the depths of my heart that the teachings and principles I have learned are true. As I have studied and prayed and gone to Him for guidance, he has answered me in such profound ways that have enlightened my understanding and changed my life. I love the Lord and his gospel. It has bought peace, happiness and fulfillment to my life. Everything that I hold dear has come to me through living in harmony with its teachings. I find happiness in trying my best to help others and think of them before myself. I know that we are all children of God. I find strength and confidence in this knowledge and I know that He has a plan for our lives. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to learn and grow every day and to become a better man. It is true. It is profound, it leads us to freedom from things that limit us in life.

How I live my faith

I try to help others. To show gratitude. I study, I pray, I try to work hard, and to understand other perspectives. I try to be an example to my children and to teach them the principles I have leaned that help us progress in life as true principles lead to happiness.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Our Father in Heaven has provided means for his children to receive direction and guidence. We are each entitled to personal revelation through his Holy Spirit, and also through the priesthood we are guided by a Prophet in our time. This revelation through priesthood and personal lines is the rock upon which Christ has built and established his church. I know that we have living prophets. Over the years they have taught truths that have been a strength to the church inspite of popular opinion. They have taught us to set aside time for family, to seek to uplift others. To look for the good and seek these things. To abstain from substances that enslave us and to be chaste before marriage and honour marriage relationships, where society have taught more popular but less empowering principles. They have taught us that we must come unto Christ in humility and he will enrich our lives and teach us of his ways. We are lead by prophets who proclaim Gods standard to all the world. It is a standard of happiness. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

God our Father in Heaven is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever. He has chosen, prepared and spoken to Prophets. the Bible is a collection of some of the writings of these prophets, and also the Gospel of Christ as recorded by his apostles. Through the words of the Prophets and apostles we can come to know God. We can also go to him and ask for understanding and clarity on their words. " If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbradeth not and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith nothing wavering.." If we ask in faith we can know that the things we read or hear are from God. "Surely the lord God will do nothing save he reveal it to his servants the Prophets" Show more Show less
