Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. I love college football and all things sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student who loves all things Nebraska football. I love to run and to work out. I just got home from a church mission to Japan. While there I learned to love the Japanese people and culture. My family enjoys going camping and fishing. We like to be outdoors and active.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church meaning that both of my parents were church members. So I relied on the testimonies of my parents for a long time. My parents said the church was true so I figured that I could trust them. But there came a time when I decided I needed to know for myself if the "Book of Mormon" was actually true. I dedicated myself to a study of the "Book of Mormon." I prayed every night for a witness that this church was God's true church. It turned out that my answer didn't come as quickly as I wanted it. God tested my patience a little bit. But one day shortly after finishing the last chapter of the "Book of Mormon" I knelt down to pray. I pleaded with my Heavenly Father that he would give me a testimony of my own. I finished the pray and slightly dissapointed that I hadn't received an answer, laid down for bed. As I was laying there I reviewed in my mind all the times that I had felt God's love when I had read or gone to church. I began to realize that God had already blessed me with many expierences to grow my own testimony. When I thought of these experiences there came into my the heart the Holy Spirit. It filled my whole body and just brought a warm, comforting feeling. The Holy Ghost spoke to my heart and my mind and confirmed to me what I already knew, that the "Book of Mormon" was indeed true. Anytime I begin to doubt or have a hard time, I can turn to the "Book of Mormon" and feel through that same power that Jesus is my Savior and that he loves me. It gives me the needed motivation to keep going and doing my best.

How I live my faith

I was able to live my faith by going on a mission to our brothers and sisters in Japan. While there I was able to help people come to a knowledge of their Savior, Jesus Christ. Through God's guidance we were lead to those who truly needed God's help. For some it was hard to believe in a God they can't see, but everyone who had faith was able to get their own witness from God. I just got home from Japan, and am dealing with a little bit of culture shock round 2. I am excited to be able to apply all the things that the great people in Japan taught me about faith.
