Hi I'm Brandon

I'm from SoCal. I'm a reader and lover of all things medeival. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in the same town my whole life in SoCal and loved it! I really enjoyed living in the mountains where I could breath fresh pine air, run around with my friends and just feel free. I'm a son and a brother, and have loved reading since I was young (especially Fiction/Fantasy). I'm also a lover of anything to do with film: watching, making, discussing... you name it! My dad's an animator, so I guess it runs in my blood. I'll be resuming University soon, but I still have no idea what I'll be studying!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I grew up in the church, so it was always a part of my life and my parents were always very involved and of course encouraged me to do the same. I always believed my parents, never had a reason to doubt what they've said, but they and the teachers in the church (from a young age) always encouraged me to find out for myself--its a requirement, really, whether you were 'born into it' or not. I took their advice, I've found out for myself. For sure. And now I can tell anyone and everyone that I know. Not believe, know. Sounds crazy? Probably, but its true. So true that I've put my life on hold for two years to tell everyone I can just how I've come to know this. It all starts with the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I've read it (many times now), prayed about it (many times) and recieved that witness that not only is it the word of god (along with the Bible), but that Jesus is the Christ, that he truly payed for our sins, set the example, and has provided us with a living prophet in our day beginning with Joseph Smith. How amazing is that? To know that God hasn't left us to fend for ourselves, but has restored His church as it was when the Savior was here. So why am I a Mormon? Because I KNOW.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a missionary-- giving my time and means for two years as I serve those in the area I am in: both by teaching and in any other way I can. My invitation: Try what I've tried and read the Book of Mormon because ANYONE can know as I know that it is true! I also try and show people how happy the gospel has made me by smiling as much as I can. And for two years as a missionary I'll be adding to that by inviting everyone I can to come and see what church is like so they can smile too!
