Hi I'm Darcy

I grew up and live in Southern California, I have been married for four years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been dancing since I was a little girl and danced at multiple studios, on my high school dance team, throughout college and now on my own at the gym or even the local community college. I also am really into health and fitness with things involving weightlifting, dieting and inventive healthy recipes that make it easy to live a healthy life. My husband and I have been married for four years, we were sealed for eternity in the beautiful San Diego Temple in 2007. We are excited to start a family next year and hope to have a little girl first. I work full time, and I also have the calling of working in the nursery.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess you could say that I was "born" into the church, but my parents were not active while I grew up in my early years. When I reached about the age of 11 or 12 I had a great desire to learn more about the church I was "born" into. I also went to my other friends churches, but the feelings that I felt going to our church felt right. I listened to what my leaders told me about the commandments and how Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father wanted me to live. Step by step I continued to try to be what the Lord wanted me to be, things that include: reading scriptures daily, being kind to those around me, watching and saying only uplifting words, etc. As I did these things I felt a strength and warmth, and I grew to know that they were truths because of the peace and happiness they brought into my life. I continue to follow the gospel because of my love of God and His Son Jesus Christ, their love for me, and the freedom that obedience to the gospel provides.

How I live my faith

As I said earlier, I get to work in the nursery with children 18 months to 3 years until they go to primary. I also strive to visit other women in the church to build friendship and strengthen our faith through talking about the spiritual message that month. My husband and I always read our scriptures individually and as a couple everyday, we are recently striving to go to the temple more often than once a month. We also try to help the missionaries find others to teach.
