Hi I'm Greg Bement

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to a 'practically perfect in every way' wife, and father to three wonderful boys (now young men). I am currently employed as a truck driver. Previous employment includes business owner, scuba diving instructor, and I hold a commercial pilot certificate. Our family enjoys water sports of all kinds, and target shooting in our back yard. I've had some vocal and keyboard training, and enjoy sharing those things with my wife - who's the real musian. I'm a truck driver, pilot, scuba diver, firearms enthusiast, amateur musician, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My father (Air Force test pilot) was a member of the church when I was born, and my mother (teacher) was baptized a few years later. I think of myself as having been born in the church. While I was young, that may have been the only reason I was a Mormon. I'm grateful for that start. Having to learn and accept what I now know to be the truth might have been difficult for me. I hate to think of what I might have missed. As I grew older and experienced opportunities to educate myself about the church, and serve others - including a full time mission to Brazil - the truth of what I had been born into became clear to me. I now recognize that following the principles taught by the Church is essential to my salvation. I know that the Book of Mormon is a sacred testimony of the divinity Jesus Chirst, and that it was brought to us by revelation through Joseph Smith. We are lead today by a living prophet.

How I live my faith

I try to study the scriptures and pray daily. My wife and I pray together daily. Membership in the church provides opportunities to serve others. Opportunities to serve come in all shapes and sizes. Rarely do I feel more useful than while sitting on a piano or organ bench playing for a meeting. For the past several years I've been blessed to serve in various administrative capacities. It has given me the opportunity to be involved in the lives of others and to serve them. I believe that service in the church provides us the opportunity to learn to love others the way the Savior would.
