Hi I'm Patti

I'm a teacher, a knitter, a reader, I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a special education teacher. Helping student achieve their potential brings me great joy. I enjoy knitting, even though I'm not that good yet, but I am excited to learn more. I love to read especially The Harry Potter Series, Ransom Lake, The Thief Series, and The Goose Girl books. Playing the piano is also a hobby of mine, I just wish I had a piano in my apartment. I just got married in the temple in June and am enjoying every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that it is the Lord's True Church. That Christ is the center and leader of this Church. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each and every one of us. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that He died on the cross for both me and you. I have known from a very young age the peace and happiness that living this faith has brought to me and my family. I feel more confident in knowing who I am a where I am going because of it. I am a better person because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Previously, I have taught Sunday School to the children in the church. I have also participated in the Young Adult programs. I have also helped out with the various music aspects within the Church. Currently, I work with the missionaries in teaching people about our faith.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

When we attending Sunday services we wear what we call our "Sunday Best" which typically includes suits and ties for the men and modest dresses and skirts for the women. The children also dress up. The holidays we celebrate as a religion are Christmas and Easter, being that they are spiritually significant historically because they are for the birth, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We as members are able to celebrate any other regional or national holiday of the countries where we live. We also celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Show more Show less
