Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I served a mission in Lisbon Portugal and the Cape Verde Islands.

About Me

I am happily married for 12 years with 5 wonderful kids ages 11,10,7,3 and 2. My wife and I meet while I was studying to be a dentist at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska. We latter moved to New Jersey where I studied and trained to be an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. We dearly loved the people we meet through the education journey. My wife and I our now settled in Idaho. We enjoy the life steps of rearing our children and strengthening our marriage. My greatest enjoyment is spending time with family wither that be swimming, hiking, camping, biking, skiing or playing games at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a raised in the LDS faith to incredible parents. I was second to the youngest of 7 kids. I was given every opportunity to learn and participate in the LDS faith. I had to know of its truth on my own. I was given a challenge at the age of 13 to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. I took up the challenge and read the full book. At the end of the book, I was given another challenge to pray earnestly if the book be a work of God or other. I headed that challenge and prayed, I was given a warm comfort of it truth. At that point I couldn't deny that what I read was actual ancient script from prophets of old handed to us to help me navigate back to our Heavenly Father. From there it became evident to me that Joseph Smith did communicate with God and Jesus Christ and was directed to translate the Book of Mormon as he testified in his writings. Joseph Smith did re-organize Christ church from days of old and restored the priesthood to our day. We do have modern prophets here on earth that lead and guide Christ Church just as Peter did after Jesus Christ death. I know that God is not a God of chaos. Our Heavenly Father has a reason for us to be here on earth. I have found my answers to why I am here and where I am going after this life. There are many religions on earth with good intentions but only one with a true course and purpose from our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I encourage anyone to take some time and read the Book of Mormon, putting aside any prejudice, to find out if it be a work of God or other.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the bishopric of my Ward. I find great joy in serving and uplifting others. I am far from being perfect and for that reason I strive to read my scriptures and follow its teachings, attend church weekly, fulfill my calling to the best of my ability and attend the temple. I am lucky to have a wonderful wife who stands by me. We find great joy in teaching our young family the christian values of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The influence of evil today is so strong. What is considered bad is now popular and traditional values are deemed old fashion. Rearing a family in today's multimedia bombardment, without the values and teachings of the LDS church, would be a struggle laced with heartache. I am thankful for the sweet peace the Church of Jesus Christ offers our family.
