Hi I'm Wayne Striplin

I'm a Mormon. I love my heavenly father and I am greatful for my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.

About Me

I was raised in Mississippi and at 17 joined the US Marines. I spent 11 years serving my country and made it through Desert Storm. I met my sweetheart Elizabeth, who is a member of the Mormon church while I was staioned in Hawaii. She was the first Mormon that I had ever met. She was differant as well as beautiful. She slowly introduced me to the church after we were married. Visiting the Temple in Hawaii and in San deigo were key moments of my conversion. We moved to New Zealand to start our new life. Here I met the missionaries and after six years of working with them I was baptised. We have since moved to Australia and are enjoying the blessings of watching our daughter and son grow in the gospel. I currently work with Young Single Adults in my church service and enjoy watching their progress as they grow in the gospel. I have been blessed with the ability to work and support my family and raise them in the gospel principles. A huge rugby fan and love acoustic music.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel is logical and makes perfect sence and because the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I can testify of its truthfulness. I have studied the scriptures and pondered and prayed, if what I had studied about the Book of Mormon was true. If what Joseph Smith did in the translation was true? The structure of the programs in the church and the love and care of the teachers and leaders are key components of why I am a Mormon. My love for my heavenly father and the atonement are the corner stone of my existance.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a better father, husband and servent of Christ by setting an example for my family and others around me. I attend the church meetings and activities as often as I can. It is great to fellowship with the saints in our Ward and learn from their examples.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Wayne Striplin
The church is growing because it proclaims a standard. The world these days is lacking that and folks are searching for happiness, structure and clear set of standards to live by. Show more Show less
