Hi I'm Eric Hullinger

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Eric Hullinger. I am a 23 year old college kid. I am pursuing a career in Computer Science. I have served a mission for this church in the city of San Francisco. I come from a family of 5 kids. My personal interests are many, but some specific ones would be board games, hiking, playing Magic the Gathering with friends, creating music, and just thinking deeply about stuff.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was raised in the church by my family. I suppose that is the story for a significant percentage of Mormons. Of course, that never changes the simple fact that you have to know for yourself. You can't just think it is truth divine or suppose it is a good message that makes you live better. You have to question for yourself, you can't be blind concerning religious affairs. You have to know by the power of the Holy Ghost that this is the church of Christ Himself, put on the earth once again. So I did and have done many times over the very thing asked of anyone to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. That is, I have read the Book of Mormon seriously and have prayed about it seriously and I have felt something unearthly but very familiar and peaceful come into my heart, penetrate it and confirm to me I am following the truth. That confirmation and witness is why I know for myself that I have found the truth. It may seem too simple for some, but that is how God does things, through elegant simplicity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading and understanding what the scriptures teach daily. I additionally give the Lord His time by making Sunday His day and going to Church for three hours to grow closer to Him. I also pray every day to receive and recognize opportunities to help other people out in whatever way possible. Finally, I make sure to make my family important in my life.
