Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of four children--2 boys and two girls. My husband and I love raising our family in Colorado. I enjoy watching the ever changing sky over the beautiful mountains. I am currently training to become a Certified Acdemic Learning Therapist and am working toward a Master's degree in Teaching. My goal is to help children who struggle with reading, and to be a resource to their parents. When I have time, I enjoy exercising with friends, practicing the piano, cooking, trying new restaurants, reading and interior design.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in a Mormon family, that is not why I am a member of the Church today. I am Mormon because I feel that striving to follow the Savior's example makes me a better person in every role I fulfill in my life. I appreciate the perspective that being a Mormon gives me. It helps everything, including challenges, make sense. The decisions I make are better, I am happier, my relationships are stronger, and I feel at peace when I am living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily by trying to focus on those things that are the most meaningful in my life. This is not easy, but I find when I study and pray, everything goes better during the day. I have the pleasure of working in the women's organization of the Church. The purposes of this organization are to increase our personal faith, strengthen our homes and families, and to serve others. We are able to pursue these purposes in our Sunday meetings, in meetings during the week and as we provide service to others. I enjoy the time I have to work with the women, to understand their needs. My responsibilities include training other leaders, and finding ways to assist and support those leaders. Living my faith means always trying to fulfill my potential in every aspect of my live.
