Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife, a mother, and a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 14 years to an amazing husband. Except for God, he is the most important person in my life. We are the parents of 5 wonderful children. Although I excelled at school and completed my college degree, I feel very blessed to have the privilege of staying home to raise my children. Of course there are challenges as a mother of 5 children, but I have never done anything more rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have received many witnesses from God that it is His church on the earth today. These witnesses have come through His Holy Spirit as I have prayed, studied His words in the scriptures, followed the counsel of His living prophet, and tried to live the gospel. Most of all, being a member of this church brings me happiness and helps me deal with the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying it each day in the scriptures - the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I pray to God each day that He will guide my decisions, help me resist temptation, and show me ways to help others. I also teach my children about God each day as I teach them to pray and as we study the scriptures together. I also teach the young women, ages 12-18, in our ward (congregation). We meet together as a group each Sunday and learn gospel principles together. We also have activities each Wednesday, such as community service, preparing for higher education, physical fitness, and learning practical skills like cooking.
