Hi I'm Lyn Leonard

I'm a Mormon. I enjoy all material arts and my nephew Joe and I teach Tang Soo Do karate together. Family is number 1 in my life!

About Me

I've been a member for thirty-six years, joining the Mormon church at the young age of fourteen! Now looking back I see the Lords hands in my life and the people that helped along the way in my search. My family were Roman Irish Catholics; I learned about Jesus there. Unkindness and lack of surport to my family after a tragic accident left me sad and searching for the Savior that I knew loves us all. One thing I learned is that prayer is a two way conversation and listening is the most important part. Meeting God hafe way is what one person told me to do so I learned to do this. First, I needed to study and learn all I could and learn to live a more Christ-like life. Praying for direction along the way, asking for help. Many times I feel the Lord puts others in our lives to help us- we just need to be less prideful and learn to listen. I know we are all very loved by our Heavenly Father and He wants us to return home to Him. My mother joined the church fourteen years ago and greatest joy happened when my big brother joined this year!

Why I am a Mormon

WHY NOT!! Since becoming a Latter-day Saint I have learn to put my life on a better road. It's not always eazy and hard days come by for me like anyone eles. But, the difference is that with the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have learned better ways of handling everydays ups and downs. I pray for my non-Mormon family as I watch them struggle though things (Drugs, Drinking,...) and see the pain in there lifes. In the bible where it talks about Jesus being at the door and knocking and waiting for us to open the door- I think of my family when I see some of their life chooses that cause them such pain. Open the door and let Him in. I'm a Mormon because it is all true. I've studied, prayed and learned for myself- It's true. I challenge you to do likewise; study and pray and let the Lord guide you.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is day by day, minute by minute. It gives my life meaning and a direction and if I am wise and faithful I'll return back to my Heavenly Father. Perfect, I am not but the Lord knows us all and has showed us the way to live and return home again. Going to church is a great oppertunity to hear gospel messages and feel the spirit from others as they bare there testimonies. It is all a matter of the chooses we make. Putting life in its proper line of what is truely important. I try hard to see others for who they are as children of God. And learn to tame my Irish temper.
