Hi I'm Mario Jane

Hola!! I'm a cool, down to earth guy. I was born in Mexico, I live in Texas now, I'm studying Chemistry and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Mario. I'm Hispanic born in Mexico City but was grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. I went to la primaria and secundaria (elementary and jr high school) over there. When I was 14 years old, my family and I moved to the US. I did not speak any English. The first two years of High School were tough but I managed. I graduated in '04 and started college at a community college. Now I am 25 years old. I'm currently pursuing a BS in Chemistry but hope to go to Graduate school. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My grandparents from my mom's side got baptized in Monterrey. My dad got baptized in California where he was living at the time. I got baptized when I was 8 years old. When I was 19, I served a mission in Miami (The Best mission in the world)!! I love music (bachata, some reggaeton, merengue, etc), movies, I love languages (I'm trying to learn Arabic now), Ilike science obviously. Im really funny, but my sense of humor is different. I'm really smart but I get ahead of myself and make mistakes. Im really chill, but everyone who knows me has seen me wild mad. I believe in kindness, but WILL NOT back down for someone I love. I am probably the best listener you'll ever know, but my honesty sometimes hurts. Don't mess with things that are important to me. Respect my family and friends. I have standards. I will not tolerate disrespect.

Why I am a Mormon

We all know that this life is tough; there are too many things demanding our attention, our time, tallents, etc. There are too many things to worry about but too little time. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I have come to understand what are the things that will, after all is said and done, give me joy and fulfillment in my life. I can put those things as top priorities and after I have cover those priorities then I can worry about the rest, if time permits. If it doesn't, I can rest assured that I've done the most important and worthwhile things. The teachings of Christ's chuch allow me to keep balance in my life. I have standards, values, and principles that guide my life. I don't have to question what should I do if..., because I've already have the answer. This principles, values and standards will only bring me joy and fulfiment in my life. I am a Mormon because I have a personal testimony of devinity of the Book of Mormon. I have read it, and after reading it I prayed asking God if the book was true. By the power of the Holy Ghost I know it is. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it contains, as well as the Bible, the fulness of the gospel. I have also come to know by the Power of the Holy Ghost that God, the Eternal Father is real, He exists, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Jospeh Smith was his revelator and prophet in these last days and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah.

How I live my faith

I guess just trying my best!! It's hard to keep everything into prospecting, to remember who I am and what I truly want in life but by doing the small and simple things, I have a constant reminder of that. Those small and simple things is what Christ taught when he was here on earth. To me, religion is nothing but a way of life, so I strive to live Christ teachings and to apply them to the different situations and circumstances that I get myself into. It is hard, after all, I am human but that's the beauty of the gospel, I have the promise that I will be save by grace after all I can do.
