Hi I'm Janeen

I'm the oldest of 7 children, mother of 4 children, and grandmother to 11. I love life and enjoy serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in 7 states and 12 different cities and have learned a lot about my self and others through our moves. I have been blessed to visit all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Andora and Israel . I love to travel! My husband and I enjoy working, being with our family, traveling, hiking, and just being together. I am grateful he is my eternal companion. I have been involved with music since beginning piano lessons at age 8. I know that music can bring us close to Heavenly Father and Jesus. As my mother lay dying and could not speak, she was able to sing feebly some of our Church hymns with me. That will always be a sacred, special memory.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church all my life and am grateful for the guidance I have and do receive through the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know He loves me and all the people of the world and waits to help us as we call upon Him. I do know He loves us, suffered for us, and is our Savior. My mother died in 2009 and a sister-in-law in 2010. I know I will see them again and look forward to a joyous reunion where there is no more suffering, only joy and peace. This Church is God's Church on earth and I am blessed even at times of hardship, sorrow, and loss. I have felt His love and receive great peace and hope through Him.

How I live my faith

I have served in the Church from the time I was 12 when I played the piano for the childrens' youth groups. I find great joy in serving others. Some of my dearest friendships have come from serving the children, youth, and adults in the Church and in the communities where I have lived. I have played the piano/organ for funerals, weddings, Church and community functions without compensation and feel it a sacred duty and honor to serve in this way.The sacrifices I have made to serve do not compare to the blessings I have received from serving others. Truly this is the Lord's Church on the earth and I am grateful to be a part of it.
