Hi I'm Chris Stewart

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have an amazing wife and three beautiful children (8 year old boy, 5 year old girl and 10 month old girl) that mean everything to me. I enjoy serving in the church and spending time with my family. We love to camp and spend time outdoors. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and electronic gadgets. I've spent a lot of the growing up years doing finish carpentry (cabinets, countertops, and other woodwork) with my dad. I now work as manager at a technology company but I still really enjoy woodworking in my spare time and love to work on projects around the house. I served a mission to Resistencia Argentina from 1999-2001 and loved every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints as a child and so was fortunate enough to be taught important truths by loving parents at a very young age. I was baptized at 8 years old because I believed it was what my Savior wanted me to do and I wanted to follow him. I can't recall a specific moment in my life where I suddenly realized that the Book of Mormon and the the gospel teachings were true but I do remember many experiences as a youth where I felt the holy ghost testify to me that something was true. If I had to attribute my personal testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and the truthfulness of the gospel to only a few things I would have to say that the Book of Mormon and prayer were the keys to my understanding and testimony. As I have read the Book of Mormon and sought guidance from my heavenly father through sincere prayer in my life I know and have felt the sweet peace and closeness of a father that loves me and has offered up his Son so that I might return to live with him someday. Each time I go to him in sincere prayer my testimony strengthened of his love for me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It has been restored to us through the prophet Joseph Smith and we are now lead today by a living prophet. There is no doubt in my mind about the great plan our Heavenly Father has for us and I grow more amazed each day at the intricate way in which he will guide us in our lives if will will let him and seek that guidance through sincere prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best husband and father I can be to my family each day. The gospel teaches us that families can be together FOREVER. I absolutely want to be with my wife and children forever. I know that as I strive to make our home a place where the spirit of love can be we can have a piece of heaven here in our homes. My family is the most important thing to me. Helping them understand the gospel and come to Christ is one of my highest priorities. I also have had the privilege of serving in the church in a variety of ways. I love working with the youth in our ward and teaching the gospel. I "try" to live my life and make choices that fall in line with Christ's teachings in all that I do. However I'm eternally grateful for the gift of repentance and forgiveness through the mercy and atonement of Jesus Christ as this is something that I need every day.
