Hi I'm Tiffany

I love geology and science, I'm thinking about being a teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old and have been married for about a year. I am a science nerd! I love learning new things and I have a special interest in physical sciences. I love geology and learning about how the earth formed to what it is today. Subduction and convergence is especially exciting! I have many interests ranging from reading, chemistry, attempting scrapbooking, harry potter, clothing construction, video editing, music, decorating, and more.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. I had been taught everything in church, but around age 14, I was slowly wondering if the church was true like everyone kept saying. One day there was going to be a multi-stake dance and I couldn't find my dance card -- it was lost! I looked for about 30 minutes to an hour and I still couldn't find it. I thought about people in church who talked about praying for their lost keys and finding it. I decided if it could work for them, it could work for me. And if I didn't find my card, then the church must not be true. I prayed and within three minutes I found my dance card. This experience showed me that God does listen and will answer prayers as silly as finding a lost dance card. After this experience I put more effort into learning and participating in church. Shortly after, I received my own testimony of the church and its truthfulness. I know the church is true. There are few things I can say that I know for myself that this is correct or true and this church is one of them. Dealing with science, we figure things out by using observation, experimentation, and analysis to understand how things work and why they work. Science is one way of deciphering the truth of things. God is another way of deciphering truth. Just like we use our sense of touch to know if something is hot or cold, we can use the feelings inside to identify truth manifested by the Spirit. The church is true and I know that President Monson is a true prophet of God!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I believe is right. Be kind to people, do unto others as you would have others do unto you, you have one mouth and two ears so listen twice as much, and other principles that I was raised on. These principles, along with others, exemplify Christ's behavior and I am doing my best to follow His example.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I have recently gotten married and just the thought that I could be parted with my husband by death is so heart-breaking that sometimes I start to cry. The gospel gives me hope and joy that even thought death will most likely separate us at one point, death is not the victor. I will be able to live with my husband and my Heavenly Father forever by following the commandments. In the future, my children will also be sealed to my husband and I and we can be an eternal family that will never be separated. Show more Show less
