Hi I'm Brian Savage

I love to hike outdoors, watch football, read non-fiction, write poetry, and play with my grandchildren, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mental health therapist. I work with troubled teens between the ages of 12 and 18 in a residential group home in West Jordan, Utah. Before that, I taught 8th grade English. I am married to Carol Putansu and we have 5 children. I love to read good history books, or study about politics. I also love to camp, hike, watch sports, and play with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 15 years old. I first learned about the church at the Spokane, Washington World's Fair. The church had a pavillion there that discussed how an ancient American prophet by the name of Moroni organized hundreds of years of sacred records and placed them in the earth. Moroni returned as a resurrected being to show them to Joseph Smith who translated that record by the gift and power of God. The Spirit of the Holy Ghost touched me deeply and I had to know more. I realized by the power of the Holy Ghost that God restored His church on the earth in our day and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I hope you will take the time and effort to find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I love to go to church on Sunday and hear the word of God. I try to be the best person I can be every day.
