Hi I'm Brett

I grew up in a small town in Montana, I worked in the timber industry for several years.

About Me

I have been married for 34 years to the same person! We have 5 children who make me very proud. I have been involved in the timber industry most of my adult life, working with heavy equipment of all types. I love the outdoors and the beautiful earth on which we all live. I enjoy woodworking and spending time with my wife, children and grandchildren. I also am a single engine airplane pilot.

Why I am a Mormon

My great grandmother was from Missouri and was contacted by the missionaries in the early 1920's. She was baptized soon after learning the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Great Grandpa was baptized 6 years later after conquering the smoking habit. They and their 10 children moved out west during the great depression and settled in Idaho, living in a tent for two winters before establishing themselves well enough to live in a regular house. Though poor in material circumstances, the move provided an opportunity for my grandfather to marry a member and be around members of the church. My heritage on both sides of the family have been members. Having said this my decision to be a member has been no different than my great grandmother. I have had to personally search for the truth and apply the principles of truth in my life to receive the blessings of obedience.

How I live my faith

I have been a scoutmaster for several years and have enjoyed teaching young men about the skills of outdoors and having values that reflect the scout law in our lives. A Scout is: * Trustworthy, * Loyal, * Helpful, * Friendly, * Courteous, * Kind, * Obedient, * Cheerful, * Thrifty, * Brave, * Clean, * and Reverent. I want to live my whole life in harmony with these principles
