Hi I'm Kevin

I am a Convert to the Church. I live in Colorado. I have a great family.

About Me

I am a father. I am in Sales. I have a big love for the outdoors and enjoy our Wonderful Mountains. I love the Gospel and am trying to be the best example I can through action and word. My family is the most important thing. I have a great wife and we want to start travelling. I love things of History and want to visit Historical sites. I enjoy Sports of all kinds and play them when time permits. I have 2 sayings that I try very hard to live by "Every day is a Holiday and every meal is a feast" and Keep It Simple Stupid. I married my best friend and Life has never been better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church while a Freshman in College. A girl I had been dating was a member and when I went away to school she gave me materials to read and a Book of Mormon. I grew up Catholic and at the time had no interest in religion. The first week of College I bumped into Sister Missionaries in the elevator of the Dorm is was living in. They started to teach me right away and everything they taught me made sense. I knew when I heard Gospel truths that they were true. I had believed these things even growing up as a Catholic. I have been so blessed ever since the day I was baptized. I have been able to experience true joy and happiness through some of my assignments and associations in the Church. I have experienced some pretty hard trials and now better understand why we have them. I can't even begin to imagine where I would be right now without the Gospel. I have so much meaning in my life, I have Love in my life. I don't doubt for a second that Joseph Smith restored the Church and the Gospel to the Earth. I know he did indeed see the Father and the Son standing above him in the Grove now Sacred. We are led by Living Prophets today. Jesus came to Earth over 2000 years ago and Atoned for my sins. I am a Mormon because I believe that the Book of Mormon is an additional Testament of Christ and that it is true. I am a Mormon because of what I now know. I can not deny it, I dare not deny it. I have been blessed beyond belief and I wish everyone could feel the same feelings I feel today.

How I live my faith

Everyday is a work. We live in the World and we need to keep working not to let the World tear us down. I believe in being kind and loving to our neighbor. Everyone is just trying to do the best they can, whatever that may be. I have always felt people are good and so why not just Love them for who they are. I try every day to Live the Gospel as taught by the Savior and by the Prophets of old as well as the Prophets of today. I try to pray and read my Scriptures every day. I need to do a better job of looking for opportunities to Serve those in need. But I love Service and how it helps increase my Faith. I am by no means Perfect, there was only One who was. But I strive everyday to be as good as I can be. I attend all my meetings and support all those who have been asked to Serve in various capacities. I really enjoy working in the Leadership of our area. It is amazing to see so many people who just love each other work together to bring Joy and Happiness to others. I have always tried to do the best I can wherever I have been asked to serve. I have enjoyed working with the Children in the Church and seeing the perfect hope that they have. I have enjoyed working with the Youth of the Church and their enthusiasm for life. I have worked with Adults in various capacities of Leadership positions and to see them work so hard to help others is inspiring. Every where I have served I have been taught a lot about helping others to achieve the most that they can. I do have one area that I am working on improving and that is in being a better Home Teacher. One of the most important things we can do in this church is to help those and teach those who need your assistance. Help those who are hurting physically or financially. Most importantly to help those who need some spiritual nourishment. I can do a lot better at that.
