Hi I'm Jill Hodges

I'm a Mormon. I'm a busy wife and a mother of 3. I was born and raised in Utah but I have lived in California for 12 years.

About Me

Hmmm, how does one begin? Here are 5 interesting items about me: 1) I'm the oldest of 5 girls. 2) Reading is my favorite hobby but I love to be busy so I have many. 3) My oldest daughter has Down Syndrome. I gave birth to her when I was 21. 4) I love to travel. 5) Professionally I'm a corporate trainer.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born and raised a Mormon, I believe that eventually everyone has to have their own conversion to become truly converted. I've had many crossroads in my life where I've had to have those true convictions carry me through. I would be a miserable person without the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm grateful to have had the church in my life since birth because I'm convinced I would have been a lost individual. Being a Mormon is like having a magnificent compass. If I'm doing all that I can to be nearer to God and to follow his teachings, I can have confidence that my life is on the correct course. That has never turned out to be an easy course, at least in my life, but the peace is always there and lifts me up.

How I live my faith

There is a quote that I memorized when I was about 12. It has become my motto or creed. I'm not sure who said it so I can't give proper credit. "Live so that those that know you but don't know Him, will want to know Him because they know you."
