Hi I'm Steve Pederson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoying reading good books. As a youth I worked in the library and thought of being a librarian. Instead, my love of electronics and computers lead me to a carrer as an electronic technican and then later as an electrical engineer manufacturing and designing computer systems. I currently work as lead product validation engineer. I am married with six children and 7 grandchildren. My greatest joy is being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a multi-generation member. My ancestors joined the LDS Church in the 1800's in such diverse places as Norway, Ireland, Canada and Kentucky. Growing up, my family was active in the Church. I enjoyed attending meetings and learning about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I wanted to serve a mission and share the joy I felt. Before serving I wanted to know for myself if what I had been taught was true. I read the Bible and Book of Mormon, fasted and prayed. I came to know for myself by the power of the Holy Ghost that God lives, that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Kingdom of God on earth.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in England. Later, I married my Princess in the Provo, Utah temple. My wife and I have six children whom we taught to love the Lord and His Church. My 3 oldest children also married in the temple. I have served as a Boy Scout Scoutmaster and continue to serve on the Scout committee for the scout units sponsored by my local congregation (ward). I currently manage the finances for my stake - the umbrella organization for several wards. I am also active in politics having served as precinct captain and delegate to county, congressional and state conventions.
