Hi I'm Brad

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a competitive cyclist, an avid triathlete and a proud father of three - I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

In simple terms: I'm a Mormon because of the doctrine. Although my Mom converted to the Church in my early childhood, it wasn't until I was 17 years old when I gained a personal testimony of both the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Book of Mormon. I distinctly remember feeling out-of-sorts in life during that time in my life and it was important to me to discover for myself of the Church was the true Church as it purported to be. Quietly every evening I began reading the Book of Mormon in my bedroom, first for only a few minutes before going to sleep and then sitting at my desk for longer periods of time. As I read through the pages of the Book of Mormon, I began feeling a remarkable change occur inside. No longer did I feel so far away from my Heavenly Father. In fact, the more I read, the more I wanted to be a better example in my own life and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon also brought to light in complete clarity many of Christ's teachings in the New Testament. Within a period of months I had read the entire Book of Mormon from cover to cover and as I prayed about what I was reading - an incredible warm and calm peace rested with me. I knew then, as I know now, that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it comes from God. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that he died for all of us. I also know with complete surety, that the true Church of Jesus Christ has once again been restored on the earth today as promised in the Bible and that Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I strive to live as an example of what our faith teaches by being honest, hard-working, humble, and exercising faith in Jesus Christ. I make sure to be kind to those around me, especially my wife and three children. It is important to me that I lead my family by example and really spend quality time with each and every one of them. In terms of community involvement, I work with the youth of our local ward (church building) by being involved in their lives as both a teacher and hopefully, a role model. We participate in many outings together such as camping and hiking and I strive to be a listening ear to them because I can definitely relate to some of the struggles that they face. In a big way - I see myself in many of them when I was a teenager and my only desire is to give back by being active in their lives. I also live my faith in a business environment as well - not by wearing my religion on my sleeve, but simply by putting in an honest day's work at all times and being both fair and honest with those that I work with.
