Hi I'm Jenae Walker

I grew up outside of Washington D.C. love to hike, climb, scuba, snorkel, kayak and pretty much do anything outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a single mom that works hard everyday for her family and community. I am a Dental Hygienist that has been working in the same practice for 12 years now treating families dental needs diligently. I love my job as a full time mom and full time hygienists, but really what gets me going in the morning is the fact that I have a new day awaiting to share some of my life experiences of how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has buoyed me daily through life's storms. I have had the incredible opportunity to participate in dental missions with my current place of employment. Having never served a full time LDS mission, I have been able to taste the sweet rewards of what a mission might be like serving the dental needs of the poor and less fortunate in third world countries. I hope to serve a full time mission as a couple with my future spouse (whoever he might be)! I have 3 awesome, energetic children who under the age of 5 keep me on my toes both night and day! We have so much fun together. THough I am divorced life throws many challenges at my feet. I have daily struggles from trying to fix dinner after commuting over an hour, to figuring out where the lost stuffed "Muggie" has gone to soothe a whimpering little one. Though there is not much me time, I find peace an solace in my Savior who has the power to heal all. I learned to trust the Saviour when I first went to collage in BYU-Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of a loving Heavenly Father. I have a strong testimony of love my Savior's love for me and my family. I believe that families can be together forever. Heavenly Father has designed a great complex plan for us to return back to him. What we have to do is not complex. Just live the gospel as he has designed and he promises us blessings. I try to do this. It is very important for me to raise my children in righteousness for which creates a firm foundation for which they will take with them later in their young lives. I was raised in the church and though making some poor decisions in my youth, I have been able to be forgiven for those choices due to my Saviors Atoning sacrifice. And for that I will always be grateful, and forever in the service of my lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always remembering why I am here. I remember who created me, gave me my life and what I am expected to do. I love to serve others and know that this is what Jesus did and wants me to do. I love the youth in my ward. As girls camp director, I embraced each girls as if my own sister or daughter and catered to their need spiritually, physically and emotionally. I read my patriarchal blessing often to help me remember and keep me focused when I get discouraged. It is like a map of my own personal life. So many times i have read it and I thought it meant one thing and dependent on what was going on in my life the whole meaning changed. I believe Heavenly Father knows us better than we know ourselves. HE wants us to be happy and have joy here on this earth and after. He only gives us things that are good for us. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or use illegal drugs. I try to live a healthy life that will ensure the best possible life here on earth. I want to be an example to the people in my office, patients and anyone I meet that will see the true light of Jesus Christ shinning forth. This is how live my Fatih.
