Hi I'm Logan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. I am a person who loves to be around people. I am a 27 year old single girl, enjoying life and what it has to offer. I teach junior high English, and I absolutely love my job. It is the most satisfying, rewarding job and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything other than influencing the lives of today's youth. I love to read, do all things crafty, sew, be outside, and spend time with my family and friends. I love looking for the good in everyone and in every situation. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, and it has always been a part of who I am. I believe that I am the person I am today because of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me. I stay active in the Church because of the incredible blessings that come into my life. I love the promises of eternal life and eternal families. I love the strength that comes from actively participating in the Church. I love that I can go to an LDS chapel anywhere in the world and I will be taught the same principles. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows everything about it gives me strength and hope. When I feel like I can't make it anymore, He picks me up and carries me. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I am a Mormon because I love what the Gospel has to offer and I love the great feeling I get from being a part of this incredible Church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life with the mindset that someone, somewhere is watching me. I want to live in a way that will reflect only positive things about myself and the Church. I find that it is the simple things like praying, reading Gospel related material, attending the temple, surrounding myself with good people, and performing small acts of service that truly allow me to live the Gospel to its fullest. When I was baptized and confirmed, I was given the opportunity to have the influence of the Holy Ghost with me always, so long as I am worthy of His companionship. Without His companionship, I feel lost and unsure. I strive to live my life in a manner that will always allow me to have that guidance. By listening to the guidance of the Holy Ghost, I have been blessed, guided, and many opportunities have become available to me. I remember a time when I was 18 and getting ready to go to college, I had a strong feeling that I should cancel my plans and not attend the college I was planning on. Following that prompting, I informed the college of my change in plans, got my housing deposit back, and put my faith in the Lord that all would work out. Days later, I received a letter in the mail notifying me I had received a scholarship to a local college. Two months later, my father was in an accident that put him out of work. Because I followed the Spirit and stayed close to home, I was available to help my family as we struggled through this difficult time. I know that the Lord knew what was coming, and that He knew my family would need my help, and that I would need that opportunity to serve. He provided the guidance, and I followed and both myself and my family were immensely blessed.

What is faith?

Logan
Faith is knowing that even thought I cannot see my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Ghost, I know they exist. I can feel Their influence in my life and can see Their work in the world around me. Faith is knowing that while I may not think things will work out, my Heavenly Father does, and He is in control and He will make sure I make it through hard times. Faith is knowing that when I put my complete trust in Him, Heavenly Father will provide a means by which I can accomplish the things He wants me to. Faith is knowing that I can do anything with God on my side. He will give me strength beyond what I think I can do. He will open doors and light the way. Show more Show less
