Hi I'm Carol

I am a sister, friend, wife, musician, and engineer who has chosen to be the stay-at-home mother to five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of five great kids. I try to approach my roll as mother with as much energy, focus, and determination as I have the other rolls in my life. I love music and play the piano, organ, and clarinet. I love math and science and learning about the heavens and the earth. In following that love, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a ham radio license. I now try to pass that love of learning on to my kids as we camp, garden, sew, crochet, quilt, read, sing, and attend church as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have a long line of pioneer ancestors who crossed the plains as well as ancestors who were pioneers in their own right as they left their homes in Europe and traveled to America following their faith to Utah. My testimony came line upon line. I don't know a specific time when I knew for sure, but I am grateful for little moments all through my childhood until now that speak to my heart and let me recognize the truthfulness of the gospel and my relationship as a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best Christian I can be. I try to serve others and help out in our congregation where I'm asked to. I currently am the Boy Scout Troop Committee Chairperson helping about 25 young men on their path to the Eagle rank. I also play the organ and visit other women in our congregation monthly. I also try to be the best mom, friend, neighbor, and family member I can be in hopes that others can see the light of Christ in my countenance and feel Jesus' love for them through my actions. I try to meet others not of our faith and share it with them -- mostly through example -- as I volunteer in the local schools and serve on the board of directors for a community children's choir.
