Hi I'm Katie Conant

I love the Mountains. I am a future teacher. I smile the most when it rains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college at Brigham Young University Idaho, where I am double majoring in Early Childhood and Early Childhood/Special Education. It is my hope to someday be a Early Interventionist and work with families in home settings. I love what I do and I work really hard at school to be a good student. When I'm not busy with homework i'm typically having fun with friends and family. I enjoy movie marathons, especially Lord of the Rings and Back to the Future. Playing sports and being outside are typical activities to do for fun. I mostly enjoy playing Volleyball and Tennis. I live by lots of Mountains and I love going on hikes and four wheeling. I would rather play in a rain storm than cover my head with a umbrella. I can't help but dance and sing when a song I know comes on the radio. My life is happy and full of laughter. I am currently serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I couldn't feel more blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon being I can not deny the feelings I get and the answers to my prayers pertaining to this church. My mother raised her four children in the church but all of us had to know for ourselves if we believed what she had taught us. When I read the Book of Mormon I know that the book was Translated by the power of the Holy Ghost through a man named Joseph Smith. I know that there has been Apostles and Prophets living on this earth and they returned to the earth starting with the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know these past and present men hold power given from God to act in His name. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored Gospel that was on the Earth when Christ was at the head of the church. I know this because I have received answers for myself.

How I live my faith

While at College I was assigned to watch over the other women that attended my church. I would visit the girls on a weekly basis, address their needs, bring food, prayed for them, and encouraged them to do the same, meaning encouraging them to keep their fellow sisters of the church in their prayers and serve one another. I taught lesson on Sundays when we all met together and coordinated responsibilities to help with music, lessons, activities, visits, and other services. I worked with the men of the church and our leaders to make sure that the sisters were taken care of and being edified at church. I am also living my faith by serving a Mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and taking a year and a half away from my current life and dedicating my time to share the message about Jesus Christ.
