Hi I'm Adriane Olsen

I am a teacher. I am a wife. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in South-Eastern Utah -- Huntington, Utah. I have two older sisters, a younger brother, and two hard-working parents. In my younger years - much younger years - I was all about running around outdoors with the few neighbor kids we had. I now am married and just recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. To help pay for my husband's schooling, I've been substitute teaching while trying to find a teaching job of my own. I enjoy spending my time reading a good book and making crafts. I also like to cook, but unfortunately, I'm not very good at it. My husband is the chef around here.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of my loving parents, I was raised a Mormon. Even though I often just went with my parents and siblings to church because I "had" to, I grew from my experiences and gained a testimony of my own of this gospel. I am a Mormon because of the happiness this gospel brings me. I understand that God has a plan for me -- a plan that requires me to have faith -- but I know that if I do my part, I will live with my family forever. This gospel gives my life a purpose. I know my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ love me so much; the evidence is all around me. Since they love me more than I can comprehend, I know they want what is absolutely best for me, and their plan will get me to where I need to be -- or more accurately, where I want to be.

How I live my faith

I am always trying to better myself and to draw closer to my Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ. To do that, I try to choose activities that would invite the spirit to dwell with me. I go to church each Sunday to learn more about how to be a positive example of Christ and to partake of the Sacrament. I currently am serving as a ward missionary at my church. In order to fulfill this calling, I do my best to invite others to attend the activities that the church puts on. I also try to be a friend to all by letting them know they are loved.
