Hi I'm Connie

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a woman who has faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for over 20 years to my high school sweetheart and it keeps getting better and better. He retired from the Navy a couple of years ago so we've been starting a new phase together. We have 3 children that have now all graduated from high school as well. Our oldest is working and going to school. We have one on a mission. And our youngest has special needs. It's a wonderful time. I love to quilt and think it's like painting with fabric. Photography lets me capture a moment in time without disturbing it. Reading takes me to different places and teaches me different things. All things I love.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon is part of who I am. I'm grateful that my parents chose to join the church when I was very little so that I could be raised in the gospel and learn the truth from a very young age. I know that I am a child of a Heavenly Father who loves me. He is aware of me and knows what I can accomplish and what I need, even if I might not like it sometimes. I am grateful for the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ and the amazing gift of the atonement. That he would be willing to do that for me is humbling.

How I live my faith

I've had many opportunities in the church. Currently I am a choir director and I also conduct the music for Sacrament meeting each Sunday. I also get to work with the young women at church by being the Girls Camp Director. I love it and I get to help to organize things for a week long camp for them in the summer. It's one of my favorite weeks.
