Hi I'm tina weber

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Ireland and moved to America when I was 21.

About Me

My mother joined the church when I was 6. She was initially interested in the church because she liked how the youth acted and she was worried about my brother and I growing up. I was baptized when I was 8 and stayed active in the church all my life. I am married and have 3 boys, 12, 9 and 5. They keep me busy! I work full time for a large company. My boys play soccer and basketball so i am always taking them somewhere or watching them play. I like to read a lot and i love crime shows on TV. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and a bit of a sci-fi geek.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because i love the way my family and I live. We do a lot as a family and genuinely enjoy being together. The church is very family oriented and encourage a lot of quality family time. I know the church is true and have a strong testimony that has been growing since i was baptized. I grew up in Ireland where there are not a lot of mormons and that helped me to know for sure that what i believed was right and live my faith. it tested my faith everyday and made me stronger.

How I live my faith

i am very lucky to live in a community where a lot of other mormons live too. I have discovered that living in a strong mormon community has its blessings and it challenges. When i lived in Ireland everyone knew i was mormon and so they watched me all the time to make sure i was doing what i said i believed. Because of this i felt that i needed to always be the best example i could be so i tried really hard all the time. Now i live in a mainly mormon area where i don't need to be challenged spiritually as much so i work harder to strengthen my testimony by myself. Currently i have 3 young boys so i spend a lot of my time teaching them about the gospel so i need to know the answers to some of the weird questions they ask! i work with the children in the area on sundays in their classes, i am a bit of a rover so each week i work with a different age group. It a lot of fun because i get to know all the kids in the area, including my own kids friends. I also work with the women in the area, about once a month we get together and spend time for a couple of hours without our families, strengthening each other as women and mothers and friends. I think this is important because we need to be our own strong person before we can be a mother, wife or friend to someone else.
