Hi I'm Tayler.

I'm a little sister. I'm a college student who hopes to have a career in philanthropy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town and now go to college in a large city. I'm the youngest of four children and four step children. My mother and father raised my three older siblings and I in the gospel. We spent our Christmas vacations doing service for others and our summers sewing dresses for Humanitarian Aid. Our time was not our own, it was our friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens of the worlds. More importantly, it was the Lord's. Now, living on my own and going to college, I am able to see how my family and those around us were blessed. When I'm not spending time with friends, in class, or at work I continue to enjoy serving others. Aside from being a mother and a wife, I hope that my future holds a career in philanthropy. Being able to have a life and career serving others, how the Savior lived HIs, would be a dream come true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful every day to m y Heavenly Father that I was raised in the truthfulness of the gospel. However, the last few years of high school while still living at home and once at college, I realized that I could no longer lean on the testimonies of my parents, leaders, and those around me. As I worked to have a testimony of my own, I knew Heavenly Father was aware of me. I could feel His comforting presence and see His helping hand in my life. I quickly recognized the ease and joy that comes from living gospel principles. The security and blessings it brings into my life are constant. I cannot imagine walking through this world alone, without the help of my Savior. The gospel has brought key people into my life that I know I would have never crossed paths with had I not been following my Savior. I know it will continue to do so. The Church of Jesus Christ is my rock. Why am I a Mormon? I know through the gospel I can continue to be blessed and to bless. The comfort it brings to my life is irreplaceable.

How I live my faith

Service is a precious, sacred principle to me. I live my faith by making myself available and worthy to be an instrument in the Lord's hands. Serving others is one way I can show my Father in Heaven that I have a willing heart. When Christ was on the earth, He went about doing good. Compassion and mercy was something He taught often through His actions. Whether it is volunteering at a soup kitchen on Saturday mornings, attending the Temple, or teaching orphans in Peru that they are loved, I know I can acknowledge the blessings I have received and show gratitude to my Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ through service to others. Serving our fellow men serves our Father and Savior and helps us gain love and compassion.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Tayler.
While striving to gain a testimony of my own, one of the first principles that I came to know to be true was the Plan of Salvation, or the Great Plan of Happiness. I have believed this principle to be true since I was three years old in primary singing the children's song, 'I Love to See the Temple'. My favorite line is, "For the temple is a holy place where we are sealed together. As a child of God I've learned this truth, a family is forever." Knowing this is true however, has brought more meaning to my life. I know that a husband and wife can live together for eternity if they both keep the covenants that they have made with the Lord in the Temple. Consequently, I know that families will live together in heaven. The most sacred organization in God's plan is the family unit. It is within the family that we learn gospel truths and it is with our earthly family who we can reside with in Heaven to dwell with our Heavenly Parents. Families are eternal. Show more Show less
