Hi I'm Holly Corley

I am a Wife and a Cystic Fibrosis Mommy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mommy and I love every second of my life. From the moment I wake up to laying down my head on my pillow I feel like I am the most blessed woman alive. I love children, I work around them and then come home to my own! And everytime I walk into the room my Husbands in, its like were locking eyes for the first time. Im very creative and love nature. My life is my epic journey.

Why I am a Mormon

My religious background is Pentecostal, I was young and once of age didnt choose to contiune. Iv always believe and love Heavenly Father. Never once did I deny there was a Savior. But as for religion I was lost and confused. I went to baptist services with my Father as a teenager but still felt empty, as tho I shouldnt be there. However, as stated before, I knew He was real, so praying came natural. This went on till I met my Husband. I had actually never came in contact with a missionary or even heard of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So when my Husband decided after his mission to join the Marine Corp and happen to get stationed in my town, the pieces in our puzzle began being placed. I would always ask him question about his religion, and each answer I would feel excited. I coulnt wait to meet the missionarys. I cant say it was perfect and as a fairytale because it wasnt. I had lots of questions and struggles, one was due to the fact I was raised on oneness. But, I read the Book of Mormon and prayed asking Heavenly Father if it was true, an in that very second it all became clear. I absolutly from the bottom to the top of my heart know 100 this is the true church of Christ. Iv never felt so complete and happy.

How I live my faith

I would like to tell you about our Family Home Evenings. One day out of each week, our family takes time away from our busy life style and just spends time together. We created a fun method to our FHE. Each year we all get the same amount of little slices of paper to write down things we would love to do for Family Home Evening. For Example Play a board game, bake cookies, visit a nursing home, and as little as to eat candy together. Mondays are our scheduled day for FHE, so each Monday we mix are pieces of papers up and pull one to be planed for the following Monday so we can have time to prepare. One of our FHE activity was to "Bake 5 pies and take them to people in need" -mommy. So we called our Bishop and asked him if he could suggest 5 people who would like a pie. We had so much fun as a family baking them and the experiences we received from performing this kind act was amazing. When serving others we not only received joy and happyness but the meaning life and bring us closer to our Heavenly Father. Serving others is a "pattern for perfection".
