Hi I'm Briana

I'm a single mother. I am a twin and a compassionate friend. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a 24 year old mother to a beautiful 4 year old little girl. She is the light of my life and certainly keeps me on my toes. It hasn't been easy being a mother but I am learning a lot and wouldn't trade it for the world. I am currently a stay at home mom. I went to college for a year or so and I hope to return someday to finish. I come from a big family so family is very very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and for a while was just living off of my parents testimonies. I am now 24 years old and come to a point in my life where I have lived in the world a little bit and realize that Heavenly Father has a better plan for me. I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachings. I believe in Joseph Smith and the Atonement. I know Jesus suffered for all the mistakes I would make in this life. I know that through Him I can return to Heavenly Father someday and live with my family for eternity if I keep the commandments and choose the right. I am so blessed to be a part of this Gospel and I hope to teach my daughter in a way that she will know these things to be true and not have a day of unhappiness in her life. I know I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday. I strive to read my scriptures every day and pray every night. I always find that when I miss a night of prayer, my day the next morning is not so great. I don't feel as relaxed or as peaceful as I would if I had prayed the night before. I have been attending Gospel Principles class as a refresher to the things I already have learned and it is really awesome. I try to share the Gospel in some way or another with the people I come in contact with. I just strive to be a better person every day.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Briana
LDS members believe that families can be together forever-not just for the time here on earth. This always brings me comfort because I know that when one of my family members dies I will be able to see them again in Heaven. They don't just lay under the ground when they die. I think that would be a comfort to anyone who believed it. I always have felt that Family was the most important thing in our religion. We do everything in families. We have family home evening which basically is a night to devote to being with your family and spending time with them. We teach that families can be together forever. We have activities during the week for each age group in the family..like boy scouts for boys and activity days for young girls, mutual for the teenagers, and for singles they usually have an activity as well. Some people may not have grown up with the perfect earthly family but at the LDS church I always feel I have a family. No matter what happens there is always someone to get help from or someone to show you love. It can be your home away from home. Heavenly Father is the person we can get the most guidance and love from. He knows each of us individually and knows what we are going through. He loves us unconditionally. He will always be there for us in times of need. This has always and will always bring me comfort. Show more Show less
