Hi I'm Nathan

I'm from Idaho! "I love "carne esada"! My family has been in Idaho since 1882. I enjoy sports, food, sleep and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a small town in Southern Idaho, where I have lived throughout my whole life. Growing up on a farm, I learned what the word "work" meant at a very young age and I am so grateful! Along with working on our family ranch/farm, I had the opportunity to work with a major potato company gathering and learning new information about potatoes. Which I found very fascinating! I love spending time with my family and friends, playing sports and being outdoors. I'm am currently a full time student at BYU ID.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family! The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to this Earth, the Priesthood Power provides my family with the blessing and the opportunity of being able to be together FOREVER, for time and all eternity. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it helps me know that I always have the opportunity of changing and becoming a better person. Satan wants us to believe that when we have sinned that we have gone past a "point of no return" - but that is not true! There is hope and that is ONLY through Jesus Christ. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we are able to repent of our sins and be forgiven. A defining time in my life was when I realized how much happiness and eternal blessings would come from giving my will to the Lord and He wants that for everyone!

How I live my faith

I've been fortunate to have the gospel in my home my whole life. However even though I grew up in the church I wasn't really ever converted. As I became older closer to my teenage years I was determined to figure out if it was true. As I made it a priority in my life to do so I learned for myself that it was true. Now that I know its true it has become easier to follow "Christ" and has helped me gain a greater relationship by reading His words found in the scriptures, praying, repenting and looking for opportunities to serve others. As I have made it a priority in my life to do those things every day, I have noticed that my circumstances don't necessarily change, but I change - I realize more that it's not the things of the world that will provide the joy and the peace I need, only my Savior can provide that for me.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Nathan
I believe the Bible is a great gift that God has given to man. All the good of the Savior of the World is communicated to us through the Bible. The Book of Mormon is another gift given to us from God! It is another testament of Jesus Christ that deals with Christ dealing with the inhabitants in Ancient America! Show more Show less
