Hi I'm Jenni

I'm a stay-at-home mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Orem, UT. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in Linguistics and minors in Russian, and Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. I served an LDS mission in Samara, Russia for 18 months. My husband and I were married in the Provo, UT Temple and we have two wonderful little kids. I have the great privilege of staying home and raising my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't have an incredible conversion story. I was born into an active LDS family and was baptized by my grandfather when I turned 8. However, I do KNOW that Joseph Smith did see God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I know that he TRANSLATED the Book of Mormon by the power of God and that he was the prophet of the Restoration. Because I know this, everything else falls into place. (If Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, then the things revealed to him/that he taught are true...) I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know he did in fact atone for my (and all of our) sins. He was resurrected. I know that families can in fact be together in the eternities through sacred covenants made in sacred temples.

How I live my faith

I've served in my various congregations in a variety of ways. For example, I've taught the 3 & 4 year olds in Sunday School, I've been a den leader and cubmaster in cub scouts. I've been a secretary in our youth organization for teenage women. I was a missionary in California (Thousand Oaks) and in Russia (Saratov, Orenburg, Togliatti, and Samara) for a total of 18 months. I seek additional opportunities to serve those around me (LDS or not - it doesn't matter). I teach the principles to my children and try to be a good example to those around me. I seek opportunities to share with others the principles that have brought so much joy into my life.
