Hi I'm Zachary

I drive a tractor, I do Falconry, I can't spell & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a walnut farm in central Californian, & had a pet goat. I enjoy doing almost anything outdoors. Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, camping it doesn’t matter they all make me happy. On the flip side I also love curling up on the couch or a comfy chair and watching a movie. I love to sit around and talk with friends or family. I love the dark, the cold and the rain. A year ago I moved out to West Virginia, and have fallen in love with the country side out hear. I love to laugh. That makes everything better. Life is filed with trials and hard ships and the best way to get through it all is by laughing. It’s not about how long we endure our trials. What matters is how well we endure our trials. The best thing we can do is look for the small things that make life enjoyable and then focus on them. I know that Joseph Smith is the prophet that was called by them to restore the same church that Jesus Christ established during his ministry on Earth. I know that Thomas Monson is the prophet of our Lord on the earth today. I love My Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ with all that I am and I am forever grateful for what he has done for. I know that they LIVE!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there have been times in my life where I have fallowed the teaching of Jesus Christ and there have been times when I haven’t. The times I fallow the doctrines of Christ are the times I have been happiest. Everything fits together and makes since. When I was 16 my Mom left my family. It was at that point that I had two clear paths in front of me, both of them going in two completely different ways I could live my life. It was at that point that I had to make my choice of who I was going to be. I then decided that it was time that I find out for my self if The Book of Mormon was scripter revealed by a profit of God. I then proceeded to read The Book of Mormon with more vigor than ever before, the whole while praying to God as hard as I could to know if this church was his church. I remember the very moment that I received my answer. I was in my early morning Bible study class. We where reading in the book of 2 Samuel when my teacher asked me to read a verse. As I read the verse I realized that my question had been answered. I fought back tears as I finished the passage that he had asked me to read. The class then proceeded as if nothing had happened. Stunned I sat there letting what had just happened sink in. I don’t think that anyone else in that class room realizes the significant of that moment. It was at that point that I stopped doing what was right because my Mom or Dad wanted me to do it. I started doing it because that’s what my Heavenly Father wants me to do and I know it’s what I need to do if I want to be happy.

How I live my faith

I love to do service. Whether it be organized projects or random things that I can do while I’m out and about to help people I see in need. One of the most important lessons I have found in the actions of Christ is that he was never “too busy” to stop and help someone by the way side. All throughout the New Testament we see examples of people stopping him as he is on his way somewhere and he always took time to help those people. I do my best each day to do the same.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith Jr. was born in 1805 in Vermont. His parents taught him to read the Bible, to have faith in God and to pray to him. Joseph had many questions concerning religion and he couldn’t find anyone who could answer his questions. At age 14, as an answer to fervent prayer, Joseph saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, in his First Vision. The called him to be a prophet (just like Moses, or Noah) and to restore Christ’s church to the earth. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe that Jesus Christ is the literal son of God. That he was born of the virgin Marry and that his life, death, and resurrection fulfill many of the prophecies contained in the scriptures. We believe as stated in Hebrews1:2 that Jesus Christ crated the world under the direction of God the Father. We believe that he lived a perfect sinless life. We believe that through his atonement we can be cleansed from our sins. We believe that his atonement includes his suffering in the garden of Gethsemane, his death on the cross, and his resurrection on the third day. Because he overcame death we will all be given the gift of resurrection, meaning our spirits will be eternally re-united with our bodies. We believe that once our life on earth is over that we will be judged by Christ. We believe that salvation comes through Jesus Christ and alone. Show more Show less
