Hi I'm Chad

I'm an Outdoor Enthusiast. I'm an Englishman and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Chad. I am a student, studying film and television production in England. I love climbing, canoeing, and outdoor photography.

Why I am a Mormon

Having read and prayed about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon I know it to be an inspired volume of scripture, written by prophets to guide us and help us come to Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides me with the guidance and instruction I need to live a Christ-centred, happy and successful life.

How I live my faith

I try only to do my best, I pattern my lives after others who mean a lot to me, like my parents or role models from the scriptures. I just think if I do my best to keep the commandments and live my faith then I cannot go wrong. I also try and be actively invovled in activities for other youn adults in the church, participating in and helping to organise dances, fun days and conventions.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that individuals are saved through the grace of Christ after striving to do all that they can to live the commandments and serve others. We recognise that even with this conscienscious effort we will still fall short of the standards required to return and live with God, when we sin or do something wrong we must therefore repent in order to make the atonement of Christ active in our lives. How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

My answer would simply be, communicate with him. He loves you and wants to have a strong relationship with you, but also wants you first to demonsrate a particle of faith in him by initiating or seeking this communication. Take some time to talk with him, pray to him and read of him in the scriptures. Ask others how they came to know him. He will hear you, and he will answer. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We believe strongly that spiritual knowledge or testimony is a gift from God, something for which we are deeply grateful. Knowing the great blessings that come to us through the gospel of Jesus Christ and feeling somewhat indebted to God for our testimony of it we feel it a great pleasure to share this knowledge with others, so that they too can experience the joys that we have. Having spent 2 years as a missionary in Germany I learnt even more the benefits of sharing my testimony with others and seeing the change it brings in their lives. Show more Show less
