Hi I'm Alex

I just want you to know that you are amazing for you are a child of God and He loves you!

About Me

Well I am Alex, I just returned from a mission in Mexico. I love helping people discover their true smile and just being happy. I will be going to college in the fall, I LOVE facets of music, playing, listening, composing, and singing. I love tennis and fitness activities, and above all I love the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

Well first of all Mormon means good man or just man so I am a just man or Mormon because I have chosen to strive to be one. But I am a member of the church because it is the only place that I have been able to find truth. Today's world offers so many appetizing and exotic opportunities but I have seen the lies and consequences that follow when one travels down those roads, I have seen it in the lives of family members and in the lives of the people of Mexico and dear friends. The doctrines of this church are not of man, for no man could "invent" such things. The promised blessings are real, when we do that which the Lord asks of us He ALWAYS blesses us. I have proven it time after time in my life and I have complete trust in Him and in the saving power of the sacrifice of His Beloved Son Jesus Christ. I have studied philosophies of the world and they have all lead me to "dead ends." I invite all who are members of this church and those who are not to plant a seed of faith to see if these things of which we profess are true, for God loves each and every one of us and He will answer any heartfelt prayer. I love each and every one of His children and am willing to help them. S piritually M inded I s L ife E ternal 2 Nephi 9:39

How I live my faith

I do the best I can with that which the Lord sees fit to place in my charge. I try to leave each person with a smile and a portion of the Holy Spirit so that they may feel of the goodness of the Lord and feel of the truthfulness of this glad message.

What is faith?

Alex
Faith is a "base," one on which we must build and test in order for it to be strengthened and help others. Faith is a blessing from God which allows us to act and become. If we didn't have faith we wouldn't do ANYTHING, we go to work because we have faith that we will get a paycheck and so on. True faith must be based on a "...hope for things which are not seen, which are TRUE." See Book Of Mormon Alma 3221 So does that mean I can have faith in a rock? Well yes and no, if what I want from a rock is for it to skip across a still lake, then I need to know what to look for, flat, round, and smooth. But if I want that rock to give me a lot of money I better know what a diamond looks like and where to find them. In each example the person not the object is the one that changes, our Heavenly Father was, is and always will be the same loving Heavenly Father which He is, it is us, His children, who distort the view of who He is and how He works. He has always given us the hints or teachers necessary to find the "flat, round, and smooth rocks" or the "diamonds in the rough" and then know how to throw them across the glassy surface of the pond or how to polish them into the brilliant "diamond" which we are seeking. He believes in you, and loves you no matter what, shouldn't we return the "favor?" Show more Show less
