Hi I'm Esther

I grew up on a farm with 9 siblings. I love to travel the world. I have 2 delightful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom, a photography enthusiast, and excited to always be learning. I love to read, to go hiking, to look for new healthy recipes for my family dinners. My kids never know what they're going to be trying next! I'm excited to be training for a triathlon with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a many generational Mormon and some of the most vivid memories from my childhood are of early morning family scripture study, proudly handing tithing to a leader at church, or sitting impatiently for that 15 minutes during church before we were allowed to color. But somewhere in there, almost without me realizing it, I gained my own testimony about the truthfulness of this gospel, that has kept me going. I am a Mormon because I know that what this church teaches is true. I have no concrete evidence of God or His Son, or that we can return to them, other than a feeling, a feeling that has been repeated countless times and in countless ways, and that I cannot deny. A feeling of love from my Heavenly Father so strong I have basked in it's warmth, an answer to a heartfelt prayer, a nudge in the right direction when I needed it. The gospel is my compass in this life, guiding my life in the direction that I feel Heavenly Father wants me to go, to become who He knows I can be.

How I live my faith

Because I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that I can repent and be forgiven when I make mistakes, I can move forward each day, trying to become a better person and not dwelling on my past mistakes. I enjoy going to church and other activities where I feel the Spirit and get a renewed desire to know and become like my Savior. Recently I've been having fun planning activities for the women in my area, helping us get to know one another better, to develop our faith in Jesus Christ, and to help us be better daughters and mothers. In the past I've also loved working with the children and teaching them.
