Hi I'm Cody

I'm a golfer, a missionary, and a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Idaho but I've never farmed. I'm currently serving a mission in the Boston, Massachusetts area and I love what I do. My family is my everything and I wouldn't be half the person I am without them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a practicing member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have never really known any other way. I've always considered myself "Mormon" and It would be easy to say that is the reason. However, just like anyone else, I had to decide for myself that this was the path in life I wanted to follow. I can't target a specific instance when I knew the Church was true or time when I specifically resolved to follow Its teachings. For me, a testimony of the Gospel, and all that accompanies It, came gradually over a lifetime of study and prayer. A major deciding factor in the strength of my testimony came when I was preparing for my mission. To sacrifice two years of my life, I wanted to be certain of what I would be sharing with others and know without a doubt of its truthfullness.

How I live my faith

As a baptized member of this Church, I have promised to take the name of Christ upon myself and to try to emulate the selfless life He lived. 1 Timothy 4:12 reads, "...be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity". While I often fall short, I try to exemplify my faith by being an example of one who has chosen to follow the Savior. When people find out I'm a Mormon, they often compliment on the selfless and devoted nature of members of the Church. That is an impression that people have that I try to carry on.
