Hi I'm Rex A. Hinds

I'm a return missionary and Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'm in love with Eva Hinds, my wife. We are nursery teachers in our branch and home teaching companions. We both enjoy going to the library, eating Chinese and Mexican food, going fishing, raising animals, trying to plant gardens, and playing the occasional computer game. We enjoy reading the scriptures, farm educational books, and the occasional mystery. We still are seeking to further our education and are preparing to add a new member to our family. We don’t like being told what we have to do, but we like instruction. We write a fun newsletter to my brother who is currently serving in West Virginia with pictures and stories submitted by family members and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was eight. I gained a powerful testimony all my life through righteous examples in my family. I received spiritual answers after I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if what I had read wasn't just a powerful book, but if the Book of Mormon, and its history of how it came about, was true. After I had a sure answer from the Spirit that was made known to me after my prayer, I continued to follow down a dedicated path to serve in the church. While working to serve others, I grew to have a more sure understanding of the joy that has come to my life. Now I am glad to have a wife who shares my beliefs to mother my children and, if we are blessed, one day, grand children with the power of Heavenly Father’s gospel to guide us in our every day live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by: - reading the scriptures every night with my wife - having family prayer - going to church each Sunday to take the bread and water that is blessed during sacrament meeting. - going to church to pay my fast offerings and tithing to God. I also live my Faith by asking Heavenly Father to forgive my sins and try to not sin in the future. I ask Heavenly Father for gifts, mostly for wisdom about spiritual matters but I do ask Him a lot for protection, to bless my family, food, activities often. I try to fulfill my church volunteer duties to help further the Kingdom of God growth on earth.
